United Way’s experience reveals to us that the best way to help people is to focus on the underlying causes of the most serious problems in our communities. It takes the whole community – working together – to accomplish success. We are already doing so much, but it’s time to bring these efforts to a higher level.

United Way brings together people from across the community – people from government, business, unions, faith groups, nonprofits, and ordinary citizens representing different ethnic and geographic areas in our community – to tackle the issues that matter most.
